Too quiet

I can’t even scream
to the universe
at the top of my lungs
to ask her what the hell
is going on here—
i was told
sound can’t travel
in space
do you think the universe
did that as a joke
that she’s right up there
ready to listen
but once we get smart
enough to think to inquire
how the existence of
earth has transpired,
we’ll learn science said no
shouts can’t reach any higher
than atmosphere level down here.
so we’ll fire a rocket!
brilliant plan
with an offering and
list of questions in hand
“hello!” we exclaim
at the top of our lungs
to the universe
but she can’t hear
so we try again
little louder this time
“excuse me!” we shriek
“i think you’ll find this is
as important to you as
it is to me”
but the universe can’t hear you—
she’s sound asleep.
she couldn’t have done it on purpose,
you see
because with no sound,
she’s as lonely as you, even me
who would wish upon
themselves such a destiny
when anything
in the universe
could be done
so we’re alone,
i conclude from the lack
of reply
it’s up to us, i suppose
to find truth the sky

Just like the old days, Writing Wednesday. Nah just fancied writing a poem today and wanted an excuse to post something.

The ugly and the beauty in real life

I do not know about you. But when reading books they portray life as bright and beautiful. But if life is not challenging then how can you treasure those great memories for me it was on holiday last year we had those Tesco adventures. To me real life is where it goes up and down. And gosh it certainly is that extreme. I do not have time to do a normal post so here is poem that I made ages ago.

These all part of real life.
All part of everyday life.
Part of the life we live.
Part of life that shall never change.

Real life is no game.
Real life is dangerous.
Real life brings pain.
Real life brings fear.

Real life isn't easy.
Real life is the world and the world is real life.
Real life is full of sorrow and hate.
For real life brings joy and happiness.
Also brings betrayal and death.
Real life is precious and won't last for ever.
So Enjoy real life as long as you can .
Before its gone and never comes back

What running has taught me!

I am trying to blog a post each week so at least I get a break from my assignments and homework. Couple of days ago when I ran in the evening I learned new things because of running and here is what I learned.

1. To be good at anything, you have to put in the time and effort no matter how talented you are.

2. Your abilities and someone else’s abilities are not the same. Do the best that YOU can do.

3. If winning is your objective, realize that you have to work 10 times harder than the next best person.

4. No matter how hard you work and how prepared you are, disappointments will happen.

5. The most gratifying experiences usually come as a result of enduring the most painful trials.

6. To be great at anything, you have to risk failing terribly at it.

7. A lot of people endure the same pains that you do.

8. If you focus on putting one foot in front of the other, you will eventually reach the finish line.

9. You cannot reach the finish line unless you start.

10. The mind is a very powerful thing. If you can train your mind to keep going even when your body wants to quit, you can achieve some incredible things.

11. Learning the difference between physically being unable to continue and giving up.

12. Accepting that every day is different — some days 5 miles is really easy, other days it feels like a cruel punishment.

13. Pace yourself.

14. You cannot give 100%, 100% of the time.

15. Sometimes you need a day off, a day off from everything.

16. The worst time, the slowest pace, the last person to finish the race is still better off than the person who refused to try.

17. Even if you fall, even if you cannot finish today, you can and should pick yourself up and try again tomorrow.

Watch this space for more running post!!!! With that said you have to excuse me as I am about to go for a run.
